About Us
Pennyworth Books is the King of Book Festivals. We are a nationally recognized brand, and a literary event staple since 2004. Our price and selections simply cannot be beat. All of our books are brand new, and offered at one very low price for your shopping convenience. We are the only book seller who drives around the country and sets up a temporary store for the weekend.
Since we are strictly a mobile book dealer, all of our energy is focused on being the absolute best. Our signature custom shelves make browsing our selections a breeze. Even in the age of electronic readers, our business is booming, largely in part to our extreme value.
We display at a number of local street fairs in our home area of Chicago. We also attend the nation's largest book festivals, namely The Miami International Book Fair, Printer's Row Lit Fest in Chicago IL, The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, The Decatur Book Festival in Decatur GA, The Southern Festival of the Humanities in Nashville TN, The Baltimore Book Festival, The Tucson Festival of Books in Arizona, The Texas Book Festival in Austin, and The South Carolina Book Festival in Columbia SC. In all, our yearly exposure is to over one million customers. Our Merchandise
All of our books are brand new. Each book is inspected for quality before the festival. We carefully hand pick recent best sellers, popular authors, riveting fiction, and non-fiction books, plus a wide variety of selections in the history, biography, cooking, and musical categories. Our stock is unique to each city and is never the same from year to year.
Finding authors such as Bill Bryson, Kurt Vonnegut, Lee Child, Douglas Adams, Toni Morrison, Truman Capote, Albert Camus, and Chuck Palahniuk are common, along with the occaisonal surprise autographed book, at no additional charges.
We always try to bring book sets like the Game of Thrones Series, a colorful spread of Garfield 3 in 1 Comics, plus the Batman and Superman guides.
Our most requested section each year is cooking. We will have at least two full shelving units packed with cookbooks. Most of our selections sell out, so if you see a 'must-have,' be sure snap it up before you explore the rest of the festival. Plus, we always save new items to display on the second and third days of the event.
Our advice: Come early for the best selection, browse the rest of the vendors, and stop back at our booth again before you leave. You just might find an unbelievable deal.

We are happy to accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Personal Checks, and cash. All credit cards will be charged at our booth during the festival. Orders paid for with Personal Checks require proper identication.
